Bruce Lorne Campbell (born June 22, 1958) is an American actor, producer, writer, comedian and director. One of his most famous roles is depicting Ash Williams in the Sam Raimi franchise Evil Dead, beginning with the 1978 short film Within the Woods . He has starred in many low-cost sect movies such as Crimewave (1985), Maniac Cop (1988), Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat (1989) , and Bubba Ho-Tep (2002).
On television, Campbell has a leading role in The Brisco County Adventure, Jr. (1993-94) and Jack of all Trades (2000), starring as Autolycus (King) Thief) at Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess (1995-99), Sam Ax at USA Network series Burning Notice (2007-13), and replicated his role as Ash Williams on the Starz series Ash vs Evil Dead (2015-18).
Campbell began his directing career with Fanalysis (2002) and A Community Speaks (2004), and later with the horror comedy films Man with the Screaming Brain > (2005) and My Name Is Bruce (2007), the latter being the spoof of his career. He can also be seen as a father role in The Escort (2015).

Campbell starred and worked behind the camera, receiving a "co-executive producer" credit. Raimi writes, directs and edits, while his partner Michigander Rob Tapert is the producer. After receiving support from horror writer Stephen King, the film slowly began to receive distribution. Four years after its original release, it became the number one movie in the UK. Then received a distribution in the United States, producing two sequels: Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness .
Campbell is also interested in Marvel Zombie comics as his character, Ash Williams. She is featured in five comics, all in the series Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness . This radio drama is released through the independent label Rykodisc and includes 6 discs with a time of 6 hours.
In addition to his books, Campbell also wrote columns for X Ray Magazine in 2001, an edition of the popular comic book series The Hire , and his comic book adaptation Man with Brain Screaming . He recently wrote an introduction to Josh Becker A Complete Guide to Budget Creation .
By the end of 2016, Campbell announces that he will release a third book, Hail to the Chin: Confessions of the B Movie Actor, which will detail his life from where If Chins Could Kill leave. According to its official website, Hail to the Chin will be released in August 2017.
Campbell manages a blog on his official website, where he posts primarily about politics and the film industry. This blog has since been discontinued.
Horror Film Festival Bruce Campbell
Since 2014, the Horror Film Festival Bruce Campbell, narrated and organized by Campbell, has been held at the Muvico Theater in Rosemont, Illinois. Personal life
Campbell's first wife was Christine Deveau, whom she married in 1983. They had two children, Rebecca and Andy, before their divorce in 1989. Campbell currently lives in Jacksonville, Oregon, with his second wife, Ida Gearon's costume designer, whom he met on movie set Mindwarp .
Campbell is also an ordained minister and has inaugurated marriage for the couple.
