Politics

McCormack entered politics as a member for Cairns in the Queensland Legislative Council in the 1912 election, the seat he held until his retirement from politics in 1930.

He was a friend of Ted Theodore, the previous prime minister, and was involved with him in Mungana Events.

Next life

McCormack died in Brisbane on November 21, 1947 and was buried in Toowong Cemetery. The chalk of his funeral started from Annerley's residence to the cemetery.
