SeÃÆ'án French (November 8, 1931 - December 25, 2011) is a Fianna FÃÆ'áil politician from Cork in Ireland. He was a Teachta DÃÆ'ála (TD) from 1967 to 1982.
France was elected to DÃÆ'áil ÃÆ'â ⬠ireann on his first attempt, in a 1967 election-by for the Cork Borough constituency caused by the death of the TD Party SeÃÆ'án Casey. He was re-elected in the next five elections but lost his seat in the November 1982 general election and did not stand anymore.
He also stood as a candidate for the European Parliament, in the first direct election in 1979, but was not elected.
SeÃÆ'án French was Lord Mayor of Cork for terms from 1976 to 1977. His father, also called SeÃÆ'án French, also served as TD and Lord Mayor of Cork.
