For the All-Star tournament, they recruited Sam Manhanga and Cornelio Guibunda, a former member of the Mozambican youth national team, who had no team at the time because of the athletic basketball program that had gone. After hearing their story, Ervin Braun invited them to live with his family in Greenwich. They became a star on the Greenwich High basketball team despite being criticized by fans. This experience greatly affected Braun. While Greenwich High School Braun entered a video-documentary contest for National History Day with a 10-minute cut titled The Hungarian Conflict of Jews in Hungary before, during, and after the Holocaust. Braun says Spielberg's affirmations are one of the most inspiring moments in his life.
