John Nathaniel Ross (May 17, 1920 - December 24, 2011) was a politician and lawyer for Fine Gael Ireland who served as Senator for the University of Dublin from 1961 to 1965.
He came from County Cork and married Ruth Isabel Sherrington. He was elected to Seanad ÃÆ'â € ireann as an Independent member in 1961, by the University of Dublin constituency. He then sits as a member of Fine Gael. He lost his seat in the 1965 election.
His son, Shane Ross, is a former Senator for the University of Dublin, and is currently a TD for Dublin Rathdown and Minister of Transport, Tourism and Sports.
