Plot

For Halloween, Tina, Gene, and Louise plan to join Andy and Ollie Pesto and collectively wear Chinese dragon costumes, which they make to wake Bob and Linda, by getting twice as much as regular candy. Tina plans to not do any trick-or-treat anymore, believing that as a teen she has gone beyond activity. Before they returned to the family restaurant to claim their costume, the five men, accompanied by their friend Darryl, decided to stop at the cartoon fortress made by Belcher's brother, located in a neighboring alley, so Gene could take the dragon's eyes. However, there are trucks that retreat and block the entrance and roof of the fort, with the driver not realizing that the children are inside. Once they realize that he will leave the truck parked in the alley at night, they start shouting for help. Only Millie Frock, Louise's psychotic classmate, heard it and came to their rescue. Louise, however, became increasingly distracted by Millie's speaking ability and eventually whipped her, causing Millie to get them trapped inside the castle. As the day went on, Millie continued to torture her trapped schoolmates, first by dropping a plastic spider through the walls of the castle. Louise tore some wet boxes, which revealed the hallway to a nearby dumpster. Ollie sent through first, but Millie closed the trash can on her before she could escape and get help. It appears that Darryl told Millie about their escape plan in exchange for candy and a trip to the bathroom, only for her to betray her. Night arrives and Bob and Linda, realizing that their children have not arrived to pick up their costume, decided to investigate the castle. Millie, however, tricked them into believing that children had gone cheat-or-treating.

Darryl finds that he can use a bent wire hanger to press a button on a truck that will lift his load path from the roof, allowing them to escape. However, he pressed the wrong button, which caused the ramp to even move down towards the fort. They piled bricks and painted cans from the dumpster to stop themselves from being destroyed to death and the power began to tear the castle door, allowing the children to crawl freely. However, they were disappointed to find that the lights had been turned off in every home.

Tina, Gene, and Louise come home and decide to eat the candy gained by Bob and Linda, who do the trick-or-treat in a dragon costume. Tina says that she will continue to cheat-or-treat. Millie then passes in the alley and is horrified to see the remains of a ruined fortress, believing that he has killed his schoolmates. Belcher's brothers, hiding in trucks, pretending to be spirits and trick Millie into losing her candy. When the credit rolls, Tina, Gene, Louise, Andy, Ollie, and Darryl are seen eating Millie's candy.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, creator Bob's Burgers Loren Bouchard called â € Å"Fort Nightâ € as one of his favorite episodes of the series, stating: "I love that they get caught in cardboard boxes for the entire episode, it's a tall concept, what I call the 'submarine' episode, but it does not feel crowded in a bad way.We do not do actual bottle episodes, but it's fun to try to do what we do. "Bouchard revealed that the design of the castle, which features several rooms, floors and decorations, was inspired by the work of film director Wes Anderson. The Darryl costume is based on the American trademark rock band Devo's clothing.

"

Robert Ham from Paste gave episode 8.8 of 10, comparing it with "A River Runs Through Bob" in the sense that "no great lessons are learned, and no moments with a sincere family."
